Verify a warranty
Enter the verification code printed on a warranty to check it is genuine and has not been altered since it was issued.
How this check works
What was checked
When this warranty was issued, a fingerprint was taken of everything on it: the item, the price, the dates, the terms, the customer's name. To show this page, the fingerprint was taken again from the record as it stands today, and the two were compared. They match.
Could the shop change it afterwards?
Not without it showing here. Change one character (a price, a date, a word in the terms) and the new fingerprint no longer matches. There is no edit button either: a mistake is voided and reissued, and the void appears on the warranty itself.
Could Narra Warranty change it?
Not without it showing either. Once a day these fingerprints are sent to an independent company abroad, which records the time it saw them and signs that with its own key. It never sees the customer, the price, or the item, only a scrambled number. Because it is outside our control, we cannot make a warranty look older than it is.
